Description
Oklahoma State University and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) are researching Rio Grande and Eastern Wild Turkey nest success and poult survival in southwestern and southeastern Oklahoma. Oklahoma State University will be filling four full-time, temporary technician positions to assist with field research with two technicians stationed at each site.
Qualifications
• Selected candidates must possess a valid US driver license (without restrictions) • VHF/UHF telemetry is highly preferred • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with landowners, co-workers, and supervisors • Ability to work under variable weather conditions and on rugged terrain independently and in a group • Preferred candidates will be detail-orientated, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and possess a strong work ethic and excellent organization skills • Selected candidates must be willing to work odd hours as needed, especially early a.m. and weekends • Experience working with upland game birds preferred.
