Posting Summary | Develop, implement and administer services, programs and activities in support of the Wellness Environment program, which offers academic and co-curricular programming to 1,200 students. Plan and facilitate events and programs; support student leadership; develop community service opportunities for students; serve as a liaison between the Wellness Environment and other University departments and community organizations; assist with marketing; and supervise work-study students. Attend COMU001: Healthy Brains, Healthy Bodies every fall semester. Provide administrative support for WE and work with students, faculty, and staff to foster an environment in which students are healthy, engaged, and successful. Instill respect and foster a sense of community that creates, promotes, and supports an inclusive and socially just residential environment. Students, faculty, and staff are provided opportunities to understand, accept, and appreciate each other through various means including conversations, programming, advocacy, education, support, reflection, and relationship-building. Work closely with the WE Director, Associate Director, WE Wellness Coaches, and staff of The University of Vermont’s Wellness Environment (WE) to oversee day-to-day WE events, programming, and implementation of the WE model. Work directly with the Residential Education Team in Residential Life to facilitate a positive student experience. Coordinate with internal and external staff to develop marketing materials and incentives for students. Maintain and create content for social media and websites. |
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) | Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one to three years’ related experience required. |
Desirable Qualifications | Basic understanding of neuroscience and health promotion highly desirable. Online marketing experience desirable. |
Other Information | 6 month probationary period is required. |
