Welding Lab Asst

Perform cleaning and organization of the program laboratories Prepare materials and equipment for laboratory use Maintain, upgrade and test existing equipment Inspect and test all safety equipment in the laboratories Assist students with course assignments as needed and monitor competency-based lab projects Assist in the security and inventory of program equipment and facilities Must have fundamental knowledge of the operation of the major equipment in the technology labs Other duties as assigned SPECIFIC DUTIES REQUIRED TO

PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Communicate effectively and work cooperative with students, faculty (both full time and part time), peers, administration, and community contacts using appropriate grammar and interpersonal skills Be proficient in the use of Welding equipment Exercise safe procedures in the use and operation of hand and power tools.
