Work Schedule | Faculty loads are scheduled on an average load of fifteen (15) credit hours per semester. Office hours, advising and collateral duty assignments are required. Teaching schedules may include day and evening classes, dual enrollment classes with local high schools, and multiple campus assignments. |

Special Assignments | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. |
KSA's/Required Qualifications | High school diploma or equivalent with 5-years current experience in the field. This position will be required to operate a state vehicle and forklift and lift 50 lbs. Valid VA driver’s license required. |
Additional Considerations | An associate’s degree or equivalent in the teaching field and welding teaching experience. AWS and/or NCCER Certifications. Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Interest and/or experience in engaging students in campus life outside the classroom. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse student populations, be committed to quality instruction, scholarship, and academic integrity. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with evidence of successful work experience as a team member. |
