Position Summary
The Office of Web and Mobile Operations is seeking a Web Team Student Assistant to assist the office in working with the “uiw.edu” and other university-associated web sites, and the school’s mobile application.
This position is funded by the Federal Work-Study program and is open to UIW students who are approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program.
Essential Functions
Essential functions include:
  • Assist in maintaining the university’s websites.
  • Help perform updates to the university’s mobile app.
  • Help with the upkeep of various Wordpress installations.
  • Coordinate content revisions on behalf of university departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
Current UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program with an overall GPA of 2.5 or greater.
Required Work Experience
Experience with working on websites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer Information Systems, Computer.
  • Graphic Arts, or Communication Arts student at the junior or sophomore level, although all are invited to apply.
  • Willingness to learn and demonstrated technical proficiency are major factors considered.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations

Work Hours
During the fall and spring semesters, daytime, evening and weekend work as
required for 12 – 15 hours per week.
Physical Demands
Some lifting of 20 lbs. or less; prolonged sitting at a computer keyboard and monitor.
