WEB PROJECTS AND CONTENT SPECIALIST, Office of the VP for Research (OVPR), to undertake a review of the suite of public VPR content websites (there are currently eight of them, including research.mit.edu, ras.mit.edu, coi.mit.edu, and postdocs.mit.edu) and develop and implement a plan for updating and improving website content. The goal is to deliver web content that meets the needs of MIT and external users and reflects the operations of a world-leading research enterprise. Will project-manage the development of new websites or overhaul of existing sites within the purview of the OVPR and support projects for key partners; and work with the web administrator, senior advisor, content owners, internal and external web developers, and other experts to scope new web projects, develop budgets, track and manage their progress, assess outcomes, and perform follow-up with content owners as needed. 


Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least three years of experience in content writing/planning, project management, or a related field; strong writing and editing skills and ability to distill complex information into compelling, accessible written communications; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team and to interact collegially with a wide variety of individuals; facility with content management systems, (preferably Drupa) and standard Microsoft Office tools; and an appreciation for the distinctive culture and values of MIT. PREFERRED:  experience working in higher education, especially in the area of research administration.  Job #21250-8
