Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Web Developer Assistant for the Proteomics department. This position is responsible for straightforward tasks usually under direct supervision not involving significant design or analysis responsibilities.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Involves collaboration with a team of scientists and software developers.
  • Assists Principal Scientific Software Developer with the documentation of applications and reports.
  • Performs fundamental clerical skills to be able to assist department’s Faculty members.
  • Operates under close supervision.
  • Identifies and resolves problems.
  • Assists in the accomplishment of the unit’s operational goals and objectives.
  • Checks and compares data for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Certifications/Licenses
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of office experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Should be comfortable working in a fast-changing environment, and able to demonstrate an ability to think creatively, generate new ideas, and implement solutions.
  • Should also show an eagerness and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Should enjoy working with scientific data and engaging in a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiar with html, css and JavaScript.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
