The Integrated Behavioral Health Education and Leadership (BHEAL) is a HRSA-funded project that is aimed to increase the number of behavioral health workforce from diverse backgrounds equipped to provide culturally and linguistically-responsive care to communities in need.  The BHEAL project will provide stipend support to MSW students as they receive enhanced didactic and experiential training in community partner organizations that offer integrated behavioral health services in medically underserved and vulnerable communities.  Additionally, the BHEAL program will develop and deliver evidence-based interprofessional training for faculty, field supervisors, and other integrated health and behavioral health providers in Orange County.
 
Under the supervision of the Project Director, the Web Designer will design visual elements for use online and provide web support to meet grant objectives.

Essential Duties

  • Taking a key role in the design and layout of a website
  • Using web content management systems
  • Reporting to Web Developer and the Project Director 
  • Collecting and analyzing data on website usage to improve performance
  • Responding to reports of technical problems and working with the team to fix them quickly
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A working knowledge of a range of software, hardware and operating systems
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A flexible approach and a willingness to accept feedback and incorporate it into their designs
  • Knowledge of typography
  • Knowledge of user experience best practices
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the ASC. EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design and Development, Multimedia Design, Interactive Computing or Digital media or related fields. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged sitting in front of computer. Walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, may carry 10-15 pounds of objects/material, not exposed to extreme noise level, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, taste or smell.
