ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

The USF Health Libraries (Shimberg Health Sciences Library and the Florida Blue Health Knowledge Exchange) provide library and information services to students, faculty, and staff at USF Health. The libraries also provide these services to affiliated hospitals, area health professionals and providers, and members of the community.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Web and Digital Content Developer  for the USF Health Libraries (USFHL) is responsible for all aspects of digital communication at the USFHL, including the website, digital signage, email announcements to our patrons, and social media. They will coordinate all USFHL patron digital content, applying technical and communication skills to maximize the value and functionality of the USFHL website and other digital platforms. They will also gather and evaluate website and library usage data to plan USFHL communication approaches, inform USFHL strategic planning, and report to national organizations for benchmarking. The Web and Digital Content Developer will ensure that the USFHL website is up-to-date, user- (and mobile-) friendly, and accessible to all patrons. They will also be responsible for maintaining the website content, ensuring that it is accurate, relevant, engaging for our patrons, and meets the standards for accessibility as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Web and Digital Content Developer will work closely with the USFHL team to ensure that the website is aligned with the goals and objectives of USF Health.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communication - Responsible for the USFHL website and other means of communicating with the students, faculty, and staff of USF Health, as well as the public. Represents Systems Unit and the USFHL on various committees within the USFHL and within USF. Authorizes secondary editors for content-specific pages of the website. Responsible for USFHL social media accounts and for communicating with patrons via USF Health-specific email distribution lists. Manages digital signage within the two libraries of the USFHL. Responsible for formatting and sending monthly email newsletter and annual report, from content provided by USFHL staff. Primary contact with certain USFHL technology vendors: obtains quotes, makes recommendations, and manages technological problems. Maintains and updates content on USFHL OneNote collaboration space. Serves as subject matter expert on the USFHL website and social media accounts (Meta platforms, X, and others as they are identified).
Technology - Administrator for Springshare modules, including website, forms/surveys/quizzes, calendaring, data and usage analytics, chat/helpdesk, and USFHL in-house tech support system. Provide Springshare tech support to USF/HCA GME. Responsible for triage of complex, technological access issues and forwarding to appropriate party. Gather log data and import to PowerBI and EBSCO Panorama for collating and reporting usage statistics.  Responds to support tickets where applicable. Backup to other Systems staff in the event of a proxy server lockout.
Unit Administrative Support - Work with supervisor and Systems Unit staff on technology and communication plans, budget requests, student tech fee proposals, hiring and training of unit staff, onboarding all USFHL employees, and creating/updating unit guidelines and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, with four years of experience in related positions; or a Master's degree in a directly related field with two years of professional experience.  Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience..
PREFERRED:
Two additional years of experience in excess of the minimum qualifications. Experience with data analytics and statistical reporting. Software experience with the following products is preferred: MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Teams, etc.), Springshare, Canva, PowerBI, EBSCO Panorama, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or other similar applications.
