Position Description
The Weatherhead Scholars Program at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University invites applications for visiting practitioner fellows, to join its annual cohort of 20-25 members, comprised of postdoctoral fellows, visiting scholars, and practitioner fellows. These one-year research positions aim to support visiting faculty and are intended to facilitate research in the social sciences on international, comparative, transnational, and global issues. The Weatherhead Scholars Program accepts 5-10 practitioners each academic year. This is a residential program; participants are expected to reside in the Cambridge/Boston area for the duration of the fellowship (late August to mid-May), and to partake in the weekly Scholars Seminar. Practitioners have shared office space at 61 Kirkland St. If desired, they may audit a course and/or participate in research clusters and seminars across the university. Practitioners may also request an undergraduate research assistant. Funding is not available at this time. Please see website for information on administrative fees for participation.
Basic Qualifications
Eligible applicants will hold full-time permanent positions, and will not hold a PhD. The duration of each fellowship is one academic year or one semester.
