UW Medical Center-Montlake - Maintenance has an outstanding opportunity to hire a WATER AND AIR QUALITY ANALYST.

WORK SCHEDULE


  • 40 hours per week, Day Shift

  • POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Quality Analyst will perform sampling and analysis of building water systems and building air systems, produce reports based on the analysis, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Water Management Program and Air Management Program including, but not limited to: routine water quality testing, routine air quality/pressure testing, submission of regulatory reports, and program delivery and documentation
  • Help ensure a safe and regulatory compliant Environment of Care for our patients and staff
  • Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First

  • PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Test POE (Point of Entry) and POU (Point of Use) potable water for free/total chlorine, pH, temperature, and coordinate any water quality testing with vendors and partners
  • Operate the building water secondary disinfection systems and perform the necessary water quality testing
  • Manage the water quality and vendor inventory database and create reports
  • Perform air quality testing and coordinate logistics with vendors and partners; measure air exchanges and air pressure relationships; manage the air quality database and create reports
  • Coordinate and conduct regular Environment of Care audits and manage data entry to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and laws

  • REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors' degree in related field
  • 2-3 years experience with Microsoft Office software
  • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration
