Position Summary

Information Technologies (IT) is seeking a student employee for our Networks area.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assigning of Work Orders and Trouble Tickets to technicians for NEC, Tek Systems, Tel N More, etc. through Pinnacle and HELP.
  • Routing of Work Orders, Customer Support, Closing Auth Codes, Trouble Tickets and projects, Programming Long Distance Codes.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Transporting inventory from IT Finance -front office to storage area.
  • Taking inventory count in the storage room.
  • Simple organization of inventory in the storage room.
  • Occasionally taking equipment to Customer Support area.
  • Creating telephone desi sheets.
  • Assistance in putting together phones, lines, desi sheets, etc. for projects.
  • Adding on tasks to Cherwell/HELP orders.
  • Recording weekly totals for orders assigned, routed, and currently distributed throughout the field.
  • Setting up appointments on the calendar through outlook.
  • UNM driving course required for operating UNM owned vehicle.
  • Other UNM training as required.
  • Help with reporting for statistical analysis.
  • Attend CAB meeting and present RFC’s that are needed for outages or FYI notifications.
  • Writing work orders and trouble tickets for customers through help and pinnacle.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
