Position Duties
Loyola University Maryland (LUM) invites applications for an instructor committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching for a position as a Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor. A master’s in biology or a closely related field is required; a Ph.D. is preferred. The candidate will teach lectures and labs for the third course in our introductory biology sequence, Ecology, Evolution and Biodiversity, as well as labs for the first course, Cell and Molecular Biology; development of an upper-level course in the candidate’s area of specialization is also possible. Teaching load will be 4 lectures or labs in fall and the equivalent in spring, with no required summer teaching. The candidate will also contribute to the educational mission of Loyola University Maryland. The successful candidate should possess an awareness of and interest in high impact practices in line with the mission of Jesuit higher education.
