Lead the microstructure analysis of oxide dispersion strengthened, Ni base superalloys, including microstructures developed after additive processing and following mechanical test experiments; produce publications and prepare presentations for national and international conferences, prepare project reports, lead and assist in the preparation of proposals for new funding; supervise graduate and undergraduate students in performing and analyzing experiments and presentation of results.

Minimum Education Required:

PhD in Materials Science and Engineering

Desired Education:


PhD in Materials Science and Engineering

Required Experience:

Extensive experience with scanning and transmission electron microscopy characterization of metallic materials, high temperature mechanical testing, and metals processing.

Desired Experience:

Background and experience in physical and mechanical metallurgy; thermodynamic and kinetics modeling.
