Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required. Master’s degree in science preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of related research experience.

Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.

Proficient in specific lab research techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree or experience in cell or molecular biology, immunology, genetics, or related fields.  Experience with lab management, grant management, report generation and application.

Self-motivated, reliable, organized, production oriented and creative individuals with a strong interest in ophthalmic research and drug development are encouraged to apply

Individuals with prior experience with high-throughput analysis, protein structural biology, immunostaining/fluorescence, epigenetics, mouse/rat/rabbit work, ocular models of disease, small animal surgery, cell culture, cell signaling, and biostatistics/bioinformatics are strongly desired.

Strong writing skills are required. Preferred candidates will have experience in clinical research and patient coordination as well.  HIPAA familiarity and information safety experience is desired as is facility with electronic medical records, medical language literacy, and REDCap.
