Position Summary

The Department of Philosophy seeks to hire a Visiting Lecturer to teach PHIL 101. This is an introduction to philosophy focusing on a few central problems, such as free will, the basis of morality, the nature and limits of knowledge, and the existence of God. This course will be done through the Friday Center’s prison outreach program for the Dan River Prison Work Farm.

MA in Philosphy

Qualifications and Experience

Experience teaching in higher education; experience/interest in ethics; commitment to teaching a diverse array of students.
