Visiting Lecturer (Mol, Biol & Genetics)

The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics is looking for 1-year Visiting Lecturer to teach two sections of the undergraduate class Introduction to Genetics and Genomics and one additional course in genetics, biochemistry, or molecular biology. This is a one-year position beginning August 16, 2024. There is a possibility of renewal based upon academic needs of the department, satisfactory performance of duties and available funding resources. The ideal applicants will have prior experience in teaching undergraduates in genetics or related subjects; extensive knowledge of genetics; demonstrated understanding of the needs and expectations of contemporary undergraduate students; and experience working with undergraduate and graduate student teaching assistants. 

A Ph.D. degree or equivalent is required.

Pay Range: $10,700- $13,550 per course - Actual salary offers in the College of Arts and Sciences will be based on education, experience, discipline, and relevant skills.

• Prior relevant work or industry experience.
• Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
• Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
