Job Summary/Basic Function
­­­­­About This Role:
The Department of History at Lamar University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Instructor to begin in the Fall 2024 semester and ending in the Spring 2025 semester. The history faculty welcomes scholars in any field that compliments the department needs. The responsibilities include surveys in US and World History with possibility of an upper-level course in the applicant’s field. Scholarly research publications a plus.

Able to lift 25 lbs and be able to perform a variety of physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing and walking between buildings.
