Scope of Position  

The Sports Medicine Rehab Physical therapist is currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Ohio. This individual will work within a team oriented sports medicine rehabilitation program.  These services are offered via outpatient service sites to patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with orthopedic and sports related injuries.  The sports medicine team members report to the rehabilitation team leader as part of the OSU Sports Medicine program structure.

Position Summary  

The Sports Medicine Physical Therapist works under the general supervision of the Director of MSK and under direct supervision of the Sports Medicine Rehab Team Leader. The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio. Although team members report directly to a team leader, they are also responsible to each other, to those they supervise (rehab assistants and athletic trainers) and to other participants included in the patient care activities.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire:  All Physical Therapist team members must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Board.
