Position Summary
Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor
The Dwyer School of Health Sciences Division of Radiography and Medical Imaging invites applicants for a full-time 10-month non-tenure track Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor faculty position.
This position requires delivery of online and on-campus didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction in the AS in Radiography and BS in Medical Imaging Technology programs, as appropriate. This position will be responsible for collaborating with other regional Indiana University campuses to create a primary pathway for an ultrasound program to be housed at Indiana University South Bend. Faculty may also be required to teach evening, weekend, off-site, and/or online courses. The Division of Radiologic Sciences provides high-quality education, clinical experiences, and collaborative opportunities to undergraduate students for future roles as imaging technologists. The program is committed to excellence in the theory and practice of medical imaging and the development of competent, socially sensitive, culturally diverse, and ethically responsible professionals.

Basic Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Baccalaureate degree
  • Qualified to teach sonography curriculum
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) current registration in Abdomen.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) current registration in radiography
  • Additional sonography registries such as OB, Vascular Technology, Breast Sonography, Pediatric Sonography, Pediatric Echocardiography, Adult Echocardiography
  • ARRT current registration in a post-primary sonography modality
  • Current or previous teaching experience in a medical imaging program
  • Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising
  • Three or more years clinical experience in the professional discipline
