Position Summary:
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses, most likely in general or organic chemistry.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching undergraduate chemistry lecture and laboratory courses for a diverse student body from a broad range of majors is expected, with additional opportunities at the graduate level based on department needs. Course development, including implementation of new undergraduate laboratory experiments and/or implementation of new classroom pedagogy/methods/content/activities, is possible. Open communication with colleagues, especially when teaching multi-section courses, is common and expected.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • An advanced degree (MS, PhD) in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field, is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-doctoral experience is preferred.
  • Teaching experience at the postsecondary level is preferred.
