Summary of Job Duties:

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law seeks applicants an entry-level tenure-track faculty position beginning in August 2024. The law school has primary needs in Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Property, and Torts, with secondary needs in Criminal Procedure, Family Law, Legal Writing, Professional Responsibility, Sales, and Secured Transactions. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

  •  Minimum qualifications are a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school;
  •  Strong writing and interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Outstanding academic credentials and prior teaching experience;
  • Law review or moot court service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach classes as assigned;
  • Design and teach rigorous courses as assigned by the teaching package;
  • Publish excellent and engaging scholarship;
  • Support the university through internal and external services;
  • Achieve teaching goals;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to teach;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in person, in writing, and through electronic means of communication;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and utilize data decision-making;
