The Department of Anthropology at Bowdoin College invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible visiting assistant professor position in cultural anthropology for the 2024- 2025 academic year. The appointment begins July 1, 2024, and is for one year with possible renewal for a second year pending successful review and reappointment. Teaching load is two courses per semester at varying levels of the curriculum. The geographic and topical areas of specialization are open. A PhD in anthropology or a related field is expected by the date of appointment.
