| Department Summary | The Department of Mathematics has 25 tenure system faculty, 14 lecturers, about 50-60 graduate students, and 220 majors. Our graduate degree offerings include a Ph.D. in Mathematics as well as M.A. and M.S. degrees. Undergraduate offerings include B.A. and B.S. degrees in Mathematics, with or without teacher certification. Additional information about the department is available at math.unt.edu. UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba. |
| Position Summary | The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Texas invites applications to fill a 3-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall 2024. The teaching commitment is two courses in the first year, and three courses in the second and third year. Successful candidates will be paired with faculty mentors with whom they have compatible research interests. |
