Job Summary

The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Visiting Assistant Professor in Nutrition beginning August 19, 2024. Courses may occasionally be taught online, but typically will be offered face-to-face. The successful candidate will teach four undergraduate courses per semester in Fall and Spring in areas of Nutrition, Advanced Nutrition, and other classes as needed. This position requires service to the department and university including the development of the program, student recruitment & retention, and other duties as needed.

Position is contingent upon available funding and satisfactory background check.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates should hold a Master of Science in dietetics or nutrition from an accredited university, and be a Registered Dietician Nutritionist (MS RDN)
  • A combination of teaching, practical, and/or research experiences
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to effectively use teaching strategies and technologies for in-person and/or online learning
