VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION IN BIOLOGY

PITZER AND SCRIPPS COLLEGES

The Biology Program of Scripps and Pitzer Colleges seeks to hire one or more full-time visiting assistant professors in biology for the 2024-25 academic year.  Opportunities to direct undergraduate research projects are also possible. We welcome applicants from all disciplines within biology, but candidates who can teach introductory and non-majors courses in either molecular/cellular biology or ecology/evolution are strongly encouraged to apply.       

This position is a full-time, one-year appointment. Rank will be either Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Professor, depending on experience. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in biology or a related field before starting the position; prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.

The salary for this position will range from $73,000-$87,000 and will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
