Job Summary
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University Northwest (PNW) invites applications for a position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering, beginning August 15, 2022. The successful candidate will teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor undergraduate students on senior design projects and masters-level graduate students on thesis research, and perform research and scholarship. Applicants with teaching and research expertise in Electric Drives, and Power and Energy Systems are preferred, but strong candidates in all areas of electrical engineering will be considered.
Department
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers two ABET-accredited Baccalaureate degree programs: BS in Electrical Engineering and BS in Computer Engineering, and a graduate Master program: MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Our engineering programs are nationally ranked #53 among non-PhD granting institutions. The department provides excellent teaching and learning opportunities with state-of-the-art equipment, design studio, laboratories, and centers.
School
The PNW School of Engineering comprises three departments: Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Closely affiliated with the School are two distinguished and award-winning research centers, the Center for Innovation through Visualization and Simulation (CIVS) and the Purdue Water Institute (PWI).

Education
A Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required. The degree must be earned by August 15, 2022.
