Job Description

The Department of Chemistry at Idaho State University invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning August 11, 2024. The successful candidate will have primary teaching responsibility in Analytical Chemistry as well as General and Introductory level chemistry courses. 

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility will be teaching but depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications, collaborative research activities can be part of the responsibility. For this position, the teaching responsibilities will include analytical chemistry courses and/or lower level chemistry courses, including laboratory courses. The position may be renewed up to 3 years.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. or ABD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience at a university level
