Job Title: Visiting Assistant Instructor OR Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction

Hiring Salary: $50,000/year (non-negotiable)

 

DUTIES:

The Department of World Languages at the University of South Florida, Tampa, is seeking candidates for an appointment to a nine-month, full-time, visiting position with the possible extension for a second and/or third year to teach German at the rank of Visiting Assistant Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction, effective August 07, 2024. 

Instruction: Beginning, intermediate, and advanced level undergraduate German courses

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in German Studies or related field. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.

Advanced German language skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD from an accredited institution German Studies or related field. At least one year of experience teaching German language and culture at the university level.

Advanced German skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
