|Description of Work Unit||
To educate the next generation of veterinarians by providing exceptional veterinary care and service to the community every d ay. The Intermediate Care unit is an integral part of the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital which provides 24/7 state-of- the-art perioperative care and medical boarding.
The Veterinary Technology I position will provide care to non-critical patients hospitalized in IMCU who are recovering from anesthesia or surgery, and require hospitalization or medical boarding.
Note to Applicants: This position will be filling the overnight shift. Hours are 10:00 pm – 8:00 am, four days a week with rotating days of the week (rotation changes every two months).
An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in veterinary/animal health technology AND one year of experience in small animal (dogs & cats) patient care; specifically in post-operative care, assisting in surgery and monitoring while administering anesthesia.
Two years of experience as described above will substitute for each year of the required education.
