​​The Veterinary Medical Center at The Ohio State University is searching for a Veterinary Care Technician for it's Emergency Critical Care service; Work involves assisting a veterinarian in technical procedures and activities involving animal care, specifically in the areas of pain management and critical care. Successful candidate assists team clinicians and care-giving colleagues with the reception, treatment, and monitoring of all patients within the Small Animal Emergency Critical Care unit. Candidate oversees and instructs professional veterinary students in preparation of animals and equipment for medical procedures and delivery of care. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: supervising and performing ordered treatments for ECC and hospitalized patients; assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; transmitting case updates to oncoming colleagues; assisting in care of emergency cases brought to small animal receiving area; and preparing and submitting charge tickets for all services rendered according to hospital fee schedules. There are two positions available on first shift. The successful candidates will be expected to work 40 hours a week on first shift rotating between weekdays and weekends with required holidays based on a team rotation. This position will be eligible for shift differential for evening hours and weekend hours worked. Successful candidate must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Ohio and complete a background check​ 

Hiring Range - $27.55 - $34.47
