Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
UNC-Chapel Hill collaborates with nearby NC State University to extend both universities’ temporary staffing power by operating as a shared service for both institutions. Under this partnership, University Temporary Services (UTS) provides exclusive temporary staffing services to UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State, employing candidates to work as temporary employees in a variety of jobs on both campuses.
Position Summary
Set-up and clean-up of all meeting functions. Serves as the main contact for setting up events, arranging furniture to the specifications required for such events, removing furniture at the conclusion of events, and working with housekeeping staff to ensure that areas are cleaned and back to the original state. Stock beverage machines for clients. Stock paper in copy and printer rooms. Remove recycling bins from classroom.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
1 year of previous related experience
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Communication Skills- Ability to communicate with Program Managers and clients in the building
The ability to use scheduling system for event tracking.
Must be able to move objects weighing up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
