Senior Advancement Assistant


The University of Tennessee’s Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Senior Advancement Assistant with the College of Arts and Sciences. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. The University of Tennessee Foundation (UTFI) is seeking a Senior Advancement Assistant for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus. Reporting to the Executive Director for the College of Arts and Sciences Advancement Office, this position supports a growing team of advancement professionals and serves as a liaison for assigned advancement directors and staff, campus and system personnel, and external constituencies of the university, such as community and business leaders, corporate vendors, alumni, donors, and friends of the university. 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 A.M. - 5 P.M.

Length of Job: Approximately 3 month

Pay Rate: $16.00 an hour

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree
  • 3 years of relevant experience

This individual will also be responsible for:

  • Answering phone lines
  • Monitor incoming mail/email
  • Coordinating travel for the assigned advancement directors and coordinating on and off campus logistics.
  • This position will also assist with travel planning/reimbursements, projects, and select events. 
 



Qualifications

 

Additional tasks may include:

  • Maintaining reports
  • Coordinating reservations for alumni, donors, or friends of the university.
  • Preparing and editing communications (thank you notes, letters, etc.)
  • Processing incoming gifts
  • Coordinating football hospitality for alumni, donors, friends by preparing, maintaining and tracking schedule for home games, including game, tailgate, staff, parking, ticket, & attendee info as well as planning and note taking for committee and Deans Advisory Board meetings. 

This position will also serve as a gatekeeper for confidential or time sensitive information and will support special projects as needed.
