USF Project Management Student Assistant

Job Summary:

Project Management is responsible for ensuring that major construction projects on campus are planned, designed, and built such that they meet, or exceed, the needs of the campus community. The student assistant position is responsible for assisting Project Managers complete and document university projects. This includes both field work and office duties, including data entry.

Full Job Description:

This position is a dynamic role that involves daily communication at department level, working on special projects, helping maintain University drawing archives and file storage organization, working on the management of space and assisting in creating and installing university signage standard.

Examples of daily tasks:

  • Corresponding by email to Project Managers and University departments.

  • Field measuring campus buildings and construction sites

  • Archiving project drawings and documents

  • Viewing current and historic changes.

  • Participating in design review, discussion, cost containment, and MEP review.

  • Verifying and entering data for campus facilities database.

  • Scanning and filing a variety of documents.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication verbal and written skills.

  • Knowledge in typical office apps (Microsoft Office, Google Apps)

  • Familiarity with GANTT scheduling apps (not required but preferred)

  • Architectural and Computer Programming background (not required but preferred)

  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite; Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign (not required but preferred

Pay Rate:

Hourly

Salary Range :

$22.50/hour
