Location: Seattle, WASHINGTON
Deadline: Open Until Filled

As a UW employee, you have a unique opportunity to change lives on our campuses, in our state and around the world. UW employees offer their boundless energy, creative problem solving skills and dedication to build stronger minds and a healthier world.

UW faculty and staff also enjoy outstanding benefits, professional growth opportunities and unique resources in an environment noted for diversity, intellectual excitement, artistic pursuits and natural beauty.

The Integrated Service Center (ISC) supports the University’s faculty, staff and student workers with their use of Workday, houses the University’s payroll and benefits enrollment teams, manages the overall maintenance and configuration of the Workday platform, and processes a limited scope of Human Capital Management (HCM) transactions. The hallmarks of the ISC are delivering services that are timely, accurate, and highly attuned to the university environment.

The ISC has an outstanding opportunity for a User Experience Analyst.

Reporting to the Customer Perspective Manager, the User Experience Analyst will play an important role in ensuring the objectives of the Finance Transformation Project, FT, are understood and integrated within the existing operations and processes of the ISC and our support of administrators/system users.  The User Experience Analyst will assist the Product Manager in maintaining an inclusive and representative approach to incorporate user experience feedback from campus departments into Workday design elements, from perspectives of both configuration and training. This position will schedule user feedback sessions for identified feature sets, configure the relevant features in a Workday test environment, collect user feedback on those feature sets, and will work closely with the Product Manager and technical teams to ensure that configurations prevent additional technical debt creation and conflict between Workday modules. This role requires working with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify, research and configure Workday features, and subsequently develop training resources for user feedback sessions and future implementation of the features. The User Experience Analyst will translate complex Workday technical concepts into consumable testing and training materials for various audiences including employees, HR administrators, internal team members and external stakeholders.

To be successful, the incumbent will need to exhibit superior communication and technical writing skills along with the ability to plan, schedule, support and deliver multiple complex projects under tight deadlines. This role merges together the technical acumen involved in configuring Workday modules and the functional expertise included in gathering user feedback and responding accordingly. The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable building and delivering content for user feedback sessions remotely. Additionally, the role will require keen technical and analytical acumen. Experience working with Workday’s HCM module is highly preferred.
