USC Credit Union, located steps from USC’s University Park campus near Downtown Los Angeles, is looking for a motivated Branch Manager  for its University Village Branch. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Member Services and is responsible leading, planning, organizing and overseeing all branch operations, member service, and sales activities. This position will have a unique role in reaching out to and serving the needs of USC's surrounding community, and driving both business development and community engagement efforts. With a committed focus on delivering high quality member service, the Branch Manager must have strong leadership and the ability to develop and implement successful strategies to grow our University Village Branch.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifies market opportunities, creates business development plans to build relationships for branch, and leads community and business development outreach for corresponding segments
  • Establishes performance goals, allocates resources, assess performance of team and ensures team efforts are focused on achieving branch goals
  • Responsible for achieving consumer loan, new accounts, deposit, cross sell and retention targets including queue management, reporting, data analytics and underwriting authority
  • Selects, coaches, evaluates and develops all direct reports; oversees training of team in the areas of member services, products and services, operations and interpersonal skills, and ensures team members attend appropriate service and operational training
  • Provides consultative services to Members regarding credit union products and services and ensures that team members are providing consultative services by assessing the Member's needs, addressing their concerns and gaining agreement
  • Researches, evaluates, and implements department and/or divisional projects 
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures as they relate to USCCU’s products and services
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three to five years’ management level experience in a financial institution
  • Combined experience/education for substitute for minimum education
  • Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, US Patriot Act, Regulation CC and funds availability, GLB and Member Financial Privacy, NCUSIF, and Truth in Savings
  • Flexibility with scheduling that may include occasional Saturday hours and weekday afternoon/evening hours
  • Excellent leadership and public relationship skills
  • High sense of urgency, attention to detail, initiative and integrity
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Exceptional interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background and credit check

Minimum Education: High school or equivalent Minimum Experience: 3 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Management level experience in a credit union operations in an institution of similar asset size.
