East Stroudsburg University is hiring an Upward Bound Advanced Mathematics Non-Credit Lecturer! Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU’s proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides convenient access to internships, careers and social activities. Position Summary:

Stroudsburg University, this position is identified as Upward Bound Part Time Advanced
Math Non-Credit Lecturer. This position
is grant-funded and is continually contingent upon grant funding. This position is a six-week, part time,
summer position only. This position
reports to the Upward Bound Program Director and will not lead to permanent university employment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in high school level geometry, pre-calculus, and calculus.
- Focusing on, but not limited to, identifying and solving different equations; solving linear, quadratic, and polynomial equations; using distance and midpoint formulas; graphing equations and using slope of a line to model real life problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, or a Masters degree with college teaching experience.
- Experience with East Stroudsburg University, its policies and procedures.
