Job Summary
Auburn University College of Nursing is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant to assist faculty and staff with daily, routine operations.
Position not available to current students in the nursing program.
Essential Functions
Filing, answering phones, taking items to other areas within the Nursing building or other departments on campus, working with faculty or staff members on specific projects, coping and scanning for faculty and staff, and other job duties as assigned. Occasionally requires lifting up to 25 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Enrolled student at Auburn University
  • Reports to work on time
  • Interest in delivery of quality customer service
  • Willing to work as a team member while interacting with faculty, staff and students.
  • Posses strong interpersonal and communications stills.
  • Dependability, multi-tasking

  • Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, balancing, hearing, handling objects with hands, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High personal motivation, self-management, and detail-orientation; ability to take responsibility in meeting deadlines and making progress with minimal, direct supervision.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills; motivation to engage in intellectual discussion and critical reflection related to research and scholarship.
  • Strong, existing computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and general Internet and electronic communications.
Pay Rate $8.75/hour
Work Hours 10-20/week
