Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary:
The geoenvironmental research team within the Villanova Center for Resilient Water Systems is hiring undergraduate research assistants to work on research related to environmental containment barriers for protection of human health and groundwater quality. Tasks include laboratory testing, data analysis, and laboratory organization. The undergraduate research assistant would work with a graduate student, research professor, and/or professor to complete the assigned tasks. Laboratory work may include taking and recording measurements, acid-washing glassware, maintaining a safe and clean lab, and preparing samples and equipment. Data analysis may include working with Excel, AutoCAD, and other computer software.
Requirements:
Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions. Able to work well both independently and as part of a team. Has critical thinking and problem solving skills in order to work safely in the lab and develop novel methods. Science or Engineering major preferred, but not required. Previous laboratory experience preferred (for example, general chemistry course or general biology course is acceptable.) Must be 18 years of age or older.
