Description
The Kanbar Institute's Undergraduate Department of Film & Television at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts is seeking a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Cinematography to begin in September 2022.
Faculty members will teach five courses per year, mentor undergraduate students, and participate in departmental and/or school-wide committees. On-going professional work is encouraged and expected.

Salary, to be negotiated, includes an excellent benefits package. Finalists will be asked to submit creative work and teaching materials from cinematography courses taught.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a professional resume as a Director of Photography on feature films, television, TV commercials and/or streaming content. Proven effective university-level teaching is desired. Candidates must have an ability to teach 16mm, 35 mm film cameras and full high definition digital movie cameras, as well as the various techniques of studio and location lighting, camera movement, and on-set protocol. The candidate will be required to teach at all levels of the curriculum.
