Position Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Archeology Field Work for the School of Lang, Culture $ Sociology at Oregon State University (OSU). Archaeological excavation on undeveloped coastal forest, dune, and wetland environment 20 minutes outside of Florence, Oregon |
Position Duties | Taking field notes, creating field maps, taking photos, operating handheld GPS unit, and assisting with organizing geological and archaeological samples collected. Excavating shovel test units, screening sediment matrix, recording/collecting artifacts, and recording stratigraphic data. |

Additional Required Qualifications |

Preferred (Special) Qualifications | Prior experience in archaeological fieldwork. Education in and knowledge of Oregon’s coastal tribal history, culture, and archaeological heritage. Valid driver’s license. Majoring in Anthropology (archaeology concentration). |
