Undergraduate Admissions Counselor (Based in Hawaii or Omaha, NE)

Summary:

Primary recruitment territory to include the state of Hawaii.  The Admissions Counselor recruits, evaluates, and participates in the selection of candidates for admission. Maintains liaison with all organizations and individuals involved in the admissions process. Develops public presentations designed to promote the institution. Advises parents and applicants about educational planning and processes. Establishes and nourishes relationships with the Hawaii School Counseling community.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in business, human services, education or in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience;

1 to 3 years related advising/counseling experience;

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Access, Excel etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Desire to work with student, parents, and high school counselors from Hawaii

Knowledge of admission terminology and tests;

Proven excellence in verbal and written communication skills;

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one settings, as well as in small/large situations, to a variety of audiences;

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;

Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects;

Ability to implement recruitment strategies related to Hawaii recruitment;

Demonstrate commitment to working with diverse populations;

Ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality;

Ability to travel frequently to include driving & flying
Ability to work on weekends and nights
