Job Description

Instructional/Leadership Coach

Working with the Assistant Director of Leadership Programs in the Roche Center for Catholic Education, and Center staff, the Instructional/Leadership Coach supports special professional development programming for the Roche Center. The Roche Center facilitates multiple professional development programs for Catholic schools at both the local and national level. These programs occur throughout the year and occur both in person and virtually.

The Instructional/Leadership Coach contributes to program design, implementation and evaluation of Roche Center professional development programs. Directly coaching teachers, leaders, and teams, this individual partners with a broad range of constituents. S/he has a significant impact on teachers, leaders, schools, and communities, and during this exciting period of growth, helps to shape and drive the Roche Center for Catholic Education’s outreach programs. Facilitates professional development for school communities.

The Instructional/Leadership Coach reports to the Roche Center for Catholic Education’s Assistant Director of Leadership Programs. The Instructional/Leadership Coach spends 75% of time in schools and must be able and willing to travel to Catholic schools in the Boston metropolitan area. The Instructional/Leadership Coach will also support the Center’s special outreach projects, such as faith formation and community programming for current programs.

The Instructional/Leadership Coach must possess strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit to work effectively across schools and motivate the constituents to perform. The Instructional/Leadership Coach will assist in recruitment of participants for outreach initiatives and Roche Center events.

Salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in educational leadership or related field.
  • At least 2 years as a Catholic school leader, with demonstrated results.
  • Experience working in dual-language schools.
  • At least 2 years teaching experience at the K-12 level.
  • Leadership experience in urban Catholic schools, preferably in the dual-language setting. 
  • Experience in facilitating professional development for Catholic school teachers and leaders.
  • Candidate must have proven written and oral communication skills, the ability to manage multiple, complex, and ongoing projects and work independently, as well as a part of a team.
