Job Description

The National Resource Center for Youth Services (NRCYS)  at the University of Oklahoma - OUTREACH has been improving the effectiveness of human services for more than 40 years, providing training and technical assistance to programs in Oklahoma and nationally.  Specializing in training, consultation and direct service, NRCYS  is a leader in youth service philosophy, best practices, youth engagement, and child welfare resource family services.
We're announcing an opening for a Training Registration Specialist.   This position performs entry level administrative support services associated with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS)-funded Resource Family Training (RFT) Program. This program provides training, education, and support for Foster, Kinship, and Adoptive families.
Representative duties include: 
  • Data entry for registrations, scheduling, and closeout information for training's and meetings
  • Managing inventory, storage, and care of all department equipment and supplies
  • Preparing copies and assembling training materials
  • Preparing and packing training materials for shipment to various sites
  • Participating in staff and team meetings
  • Perform other related duties as required


Job Requirements


Required Education  High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:

  • 12 months of office/clerical experience 


  • Proficient Microsoft Word and data entry skills 
  • Must have the ability to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer
  • Excellent customer service skills and must be able to work successfully in a team environment with a diverse group of staff
  • Must be able to follow directions and work well as part of a team
  • Professional manner and appearance
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Strong organizational abilities

Advertised Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing a least 25 pounds on a regular basis
  • Have have the ability to climb ladders and load dollies/carts on a regular basis
  • Position requires being able to perform essential work duties while standing and walking for periods of time


Department Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 24 months of office/clerical experience

Supervision: This position will report to the Program Development Specialist position. This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
