Summary of Duties:

Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of duties associated with the receipt, delivery and shipping of small packages, Liquefied Gases, Compressed Gases, Maintenance Supplies, Construction Materials, Custodial Supplies and large freight weighing 150 pounds or more. The duties performed in this position require the use of a 14,000-26,000 GVW truck, 2-ton truck with cargo box, 3-ton flat bed, fork lift, electric and manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, cylinder hand trucks, Liquid gas carts and wheel dollies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, record free from serious traffic violations, eighteen years of age or older, the ability to read and write, and physical ability to perform heavy outdoor work; OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Experience using material handling equipment.

  • Ability to perform heavy physical work.

  • 1-year experience with truck driving. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the WSU campus.

  • Familiarity with computer programs, logistical software programs.
