Summary of Duties:
TRIO Upward Bound Coordinator will provide academic advising and support for program participants in their pursuit of post-secondary education. Duties include providing advice/assistance in high school/college course selections, assistance with PSE application forms for admissions & financial aid, providing information on colleges & financial aid, and assistance in successful completion of high school. Other duties include event/trip planning and coordinating, supervising high school students (may include overnight), collaborating with a team, and making sure WSU & school policies are adhered to. The coordinator will also plan/coordinate/execute summer programming. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree & experience working with high school students.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish.
  • Experience assisting with implementing federal/state student educational or college-readiness programs.

Monthly Salary:
Range 40, $3,376.00 - $4,497.00 (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 .
