UW’s Department of Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a Research Study Coordinator Lead, assisting with Trauma clinical research projects in the Trauma, Burn & Critical Care Division which is part of the UW School of Medicine.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Trauma Research Study Coordinator Lead will coordinate work assignments for research personnel engaged in performing a variety of duties for the Trauma, Burn, & Critical Care Division research studies involving human subjects, including enrolling and consenting patients into the studies, interfacing patients and their families as well as other research personnel. The successful candidate will be skilled at identifying subject populations; able to develop forms, questionnaires and databases for collecting and summarizing observations and data able to; enroll and consent subjects in complex clinical trials. They will also assist with complex study start-up activities.

The Research Study Coordinator Lead manages, under the guidance of the Research Nurse Supervisor, is responsible for training new employees, assigning and schedule work shifts, and managing a group of around 10 research study assistants. 

This 1.0 FTE position reports to the Research Nurse Supervisor. Major position duties are:
Research Project Coordination = 50%
Research Study Assistant Supervision = 50%
