Work Schedule | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday with some evening and weekend hours required in support of special events such as football games, Commencement ceremonies, chartered transportation and other PaTS-supported functions. This position is designated as mandatory. The incumbent is expected to use sound judgment with respect to maintaining personal safety given their individual circumstances, but also to make a substantial and good-faith effort to reach the work site in a timely manner when adverse weather or other conditions affect normal campus operations. |
Primary Purpose of Position | The incumbent will serve as part of the Transportation unit within the Parking and Transportation Services department. This position will manage daily operations and staff for Transportation programs and services offered to students, faculty and staff. Programs include: Niner Paratransit, a point-to-point disability transportation service for eligible program members; Niner Rides, the campus’ on-demand, ride-sharing program; Niner Transit, the campus’ transit operation that is provided by a third-party company. Other responsibilities include monitoring and supporting scooter/bike/car-sharing services, bicycle lockers, bus shelters, chartered and special event transportation, in-vehicle bus and bus shelter advertising, and performing other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director for Transportation or their designee. |
Minimum Education/Experience | Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. University Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a four year college or university and at least three years of program associate experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. |
