Position Summary
The Transfer Credit Analyst I is responsible for reviewing and entering transfer course information into Banner to facilitate proper degree audit function for students and advisors. The Transfer Credit Analyst I reports to the Assistant Registrar, Records.

Description of Job Duties
  • Reviews file of all First-Time-in-College student population for main campus and the School of Professional Studies;
  • Reviews and evaluates transfer credits;
  • Enters complex data into database;
  • Provides follow-up communication with students, faculty, and staff, as appropriate.
Job Duty Name Record Management
Description of Job Duties
  • Updates Banner when documents are received for students;
  • Places holds for missing transcripts, as appropriate.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and accurately both verbally and in writing;
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency in managing multiple priorities while maintaining deadlines;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment;

  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures;
  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with a mainframe computer system;
  • Experience in a higher education setting;
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand college transcripts, and experience with the evaluation of official documents;
  • Experience with SCT Banner, Envisions BMDS/Extender digital document imaging as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
