PROFILE of the DEPARTMENT

ROLE of the POSITION
The Assistant Director for Transfer Affairs (ADTA) exists to provide leadership in the UNLV Office of Undergraduate Admission for transfer articulations, agreements and evaluations and will serve as a key point of contact in assisting to develop the credit for prior learning (CPL) process at UNLV. This position must work with various UNLV campus administrative offices and colleges in order to stay up-to-date on the curriculum as well as university policies and procedures, to provide accurate information to students and stakeholders at various transfer institutions nationwide.
The ADTA position will assist in establishing a general education waiver program for out-of-state transfer students in key markets as identified by Undergraduate Admissions leadership as well as the development of program specific articulation agreements with NSHE institutions (other than CSN) and out-of-state institutions. In addition, the ADTA will work to establish 2+2 programs where relevant to further the mission of specific enrollment initiatives, including working with Tribally Controlled colleges and other institutions supporting underrepresented minority students in the pursuit of a bachelor's degree. To accomplish these things, the position must also be involved with the identification of non-articulated courses and submission of those classes to the DARS team in the UNLV Registrar's Office, be up to date on current CPL methods, theory, evaluation and best practices and assist in writing proposals for faculty senate and/or academic department or Provost approval as necessary for curricular implementation.
The position will oversee the transfer recruitment team, including those servicing in-state, out-of-state and international students as well as have responsibility for recruitment in an established territory. The position will also oversee the identification, development of and marketing to specific targeted demographics in order to support the university's strategic initiative of increasing fully online enrollment. These all include developing proposals for and monitoring budgets for travel, print and marketing pieces, website recommendations and updates and assisting in research for search strategies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and 5-7 years experience plus 1-3 years Supervisory Experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree preferred.
SALARY RANGE
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
